Method B applied to 2-chloro-5-methyl-3-nitropyridine (86 mg, 0.5 mmol) and 4-acetylamino-2-ethoxybenzoic acid methyl ester (142 mg, 0.6 mmol) afforded the title compound as viscous oil (136 mg, 84%). 1H NMR (DMSO) δ 1.34 (t, J=6.9Hz, 3H), 2.46 (s, 3H), 2.61 (s, 3H), 3.82 (s, 3H), 4.12 (q, J=6.9Hz, 2H), 7.22 (d, J=8.0Hz, 1H), 7.50 (s, 1H), 7.83 (d, J=8.0Hz, 1H), 7.98 (s, 1H), 8.21 (s, 1H).
