By essentially following the proceedure described in Example 16, Part C, the title compound was prepared as an oil starting from 6-benzyloxy-2-dimethylaminobenzo[b]thiophene-3-yl 4-[2-(1-pyrrolidinyl)ethoxy]phenyl ketone (Part A) and 1-bromo-4-(triisopropylsilyloxy)benzene in 57% yield following MPLC (SiO2; 10% then 15% then 20% THF with 5% TEA in hexanes).
