Reaction Steps
By essentially following the proceedure described in Example 8, Part F, the title compound was prepared as an oil starting from 6-benzyloxy-3-[4-[2-(1-pyrrolidinyl)ethoxy]benzyl]-2-[4-(3-cyanopropyloxy)phenyl]benzo[b]thiophene (Part E) in 71% yield following radial chromatography (SiO2; 1.0% in CHCl3 sat'd with NH4OH).
