EMBEDDCCI (295 mg, 1.4 mmol) was added to a solution of [3-(4-cyanophenyl)-2-(R,S)-dimethylcarbamoyl-propionylamino]-(S)-cyclohexyl-acetic acid (500 mg, 1.3 mmol), 4-(1-imino-ethyl)-cyclohexylamine trifluoroacetic acid salt (478 mg, 1.3 mmol), triethylamine (131 mg, 1.3 mmol) and HOBt (260 mg, 1.3 mmol) in dimethylformamide (20 ml) at 0° C. The mixture was stirred at 0° C. for 1 hour and at 22° C. for 15 hours. The precipitated urea was filtered off and the filtrate was evaporated to give 800 mg (85%) of the desired product. MS m/z: 509.4 (M+H)+.
