(1S,5S)-6-(t-Butyl-dimethyl-silanyl)-4,7-dioxo-2,6-diazabicyclo[3.2.0]heptane-2-carboxylic acid benzyl ester was prepared from benzyl (1S,4S,5S)-6-(t-butyldimethylsilanyl)-4-hydroxy-7-oxo-2,6-diazabicyclo[3.2.0]heptane-2-carboxylate in the same manner as described for benzyl (1S,5S)-6-(3,4-dimethoxybenzyl)-4,7-dioxo-2,6-diazabicyclo[3.2.0.]heptane-2-carboxylate (Example 7).
