Reaction Steps
The procedure of Example 22-i) was repeated using 1,3-biscyanomethyl-5-iodobenzene (420 mg, 1.49 mmol) and 2-amino-3,4,6-trifluorothiophenol hydrochloride (321 mg, 1.49 mmol) and the resultant product was crystallized from ethyl acetate-hexane to give 3-[(4,5,7-trifluorobenzothiazol-2-yl)methyl]-5-iodophenylacetonitrile (240 mg, 36%) as a colorless powder.
