(3-Chloro-pyridin-2-ylsulfanyl)-acetic acid (19) was synthesized according to the procedure used for compound 15. Starting with 0.69 g (3.2 mmol) of corresponding ester 18 the target 19 was obtained as a white solid (0.63 g) in 97% yield.
