A sample of crude 1-cyclopropyl-3-[3-(5-morpholin-4-ylmethyl-1H-benzoimidazol-2-yl)-1H-pyrazol-4-yl]-urea free base was dissolved in THF and then concentrated in vacuo to a minimum volume (˜4 volumes). To the solution was added water dropwise (2-4 volumes) until the solution became turbid. A small amount of THF was added to re-establish solution clarity and the mixture left to stand overnight to give a crystalline material which was air-dried to give 1-cyclopropyl-3-[3-(5-morpholin-4-ylethyl-1H-benzoimidazol-2-yl)-1H-pyrazol-4-yl]-urea free base dihydrate.
