To a solution of {1-[6-(benzothiazol-2-yloxy)-1H-indol-3-ylmethyl]-piperidin-4-yl}-carbamic acid tert-butyl ester (500 mg, 1.04 mmol) in DCM (20 mL) was added 4 M HCl in dioxane (20 mL) and the resulting reaction mixture was stirred (rt, 4 h). The reaction mixture was concentrated in vacuo to provide the title compounds as a tan solid (470 mg, 100%). MS (ESI): mass calcd. for C21H22N4OS, 378.5; m/z found, 379.2 [M+H]+.
