Crude (R)-tert-butyl 3-(5-fluoropyridin-2-ylamino)pyrrolidine-1-carboxylate (85 mg, 0.3 mmol) was dissolved in CH2Cl2 (3 mL) and 4 M HCl in dioxane (1 mL, 4 mmol) was added. The mixture was stirred overnight at rt and concentrated to afford crude (R)-5-fluoro-N-(pyrrolidin-3-yl)pyridin-2-amine (76 mg, quant) which was used without further purification. LC-MS Method 1 tR=0.42 min, m/z=182.
