A solution containing 112 (1.68 g, 4.60 mmol) and DIPEA (0.71 g, 5.53 mmol) in DCM (20 mL) was cooled to 0° C. MsCl (0.52 g, 4.60 mmol) was added. After 1 h, the reaction mixture was diluted with EtOAc and washed successively with dilute aqueous HCl, brine, dried over anhydrous Na2SO4, filtered, and concentrated. The crude product was purified by flash silica gel chromatography (1:1 to 1:3 hexanes/EtOAc) to afford 2.6 g (quant.) of 113.
