Reaction Steps

To a solution of 5.13 g (7.027 mmol) of the product of Example 29 dissolved in 75 mL of THF was added 17.6 mL (0.01 8 mmol) of a 1.0M solution of tetrabutylammonium fluoride in THF. The reaction mixture was stirred at room temperature for 4 h and then diluted with ether. The resulting solution was washed with water and brine, dried over MgSO4, filtered and concentrated in vacuo. The residue was chromatographed on silica gel eluting with EtOAc/Hexanes (gradient: 1:3-1:1) to provide 2.78 g (64%) of the desired product as a colorless oil. Electrospray Mass Spec: 617.5 (M+H)+.
