Product crystallised from tert-butyl methyl ether/hexane; yield: 75.2%; white crystals: TLC (silica gel; ethyl acetate/hexane=1:1; UV): Rf =0.31; 1H-NMR (CDCl3, 200 MHz): 2.76 (sbr, 1H); 4.72 (s, 2H); 6.96 (s, 1H); 7.16-7.48 (m, 7H).
