Reaction Steps
Following a procedure similar to that described in Example 1(a), but using 396 mg of 2-[1-(1-methyl-2-phenylimidazol-4-yl)ethylideneaminooxy]ethanol (prepared as described in Preparation 25), 694 mg of 5-(4-hydroxybenzyl)-3-tritylthiazolidine-2,4-dione, 440 mg of triphenylphosphine and 292 mg of diethyl azodicarboxylate, 866 mg of the title compound were obtained as a foam-like solid.
