Reaction Steps
Following a procedure similar to that described in Example 1(a), but using 600 mg of 2-(1-(3',4'-methylenedioxybiphenyl-4-yl)ethylideneaminooxy]ethanol (prepared as described in Preparation 30), 907 mg of 5-(4-hydroxybenzyl)-3-tritylthiazolidine-2,4-dione, 550 mg of triphenylphosphine and 365 mg of diethyl azodicarboxylate, 1.12 g of the title compound were obtained as a foam-like solid.
