Reaction Steps
In a manner analogous to that of Example 16(a), 1.35 g (2.6 mmol) of allyl 4-[3-(1-adamantyl)-4-methoxyethoxymethoxybenzamido]-benzoate prepared in Example 10(d) was reacted with 190 μl (3.1 mmol) of iodomethane and 1.38 g (100%) of the expected allylic ester was recovered.
