3-(7-Aminoimidazo[1,2-c]pyrimidin-2-yl)phenol hydrobromide (100 mg, 0.33 mmol) was combined with DMF (0.2 ml) to give a light brown suspension. Methyl-2-bromoacetate (55 mg, 0.36 mmol) and Cs2CO3 (424 mg, 1.3 mmol) were added, and the reaction mixture was stirred 2 h in a sealed tube at 65° C. The reaction mixture was directly put on a column and the product was isolated by flash chromatography (SiO2—NH2 cartridge; eluent: CH2Cl2/MeOH 95:05) to yield the title compound (57 mg, 58%) as a light yellow solid. MS (m/z)=299.1 [M+H+].
