Procedure

A solution of tert-butyl 2-(5-amino-6-phenylpyrazin-2-yl)thiazol-5-yl(isopropyl)carbamate (23.7 mg, 0.06 mmol) in EtOH (0.25 mL) was added chloroacetaldehyde (11.8 μL, 50% in water) and the reaction mixture was then heated to 60° C. for 24 h and then concentrated to dryness. The crude product was dried under high vacuum and used without further purification.
