Procedure
A solution of methyl 5-bromo-2-methyl-3-((tetrahydro-2H-pyran-4-yl)amino)benzoate (520 mg, 1.58 mmol) was heated at 70° C. in Acetic 3 ml of anhydride for 6 h. The reaction mixture was cooled to room temperature and quenched with sat. NaHCO3 and extracted with ethyl acetate. The organic layer was dried over Na2SO4, concentrated and purified by silica gel (100-200) column chromatography to get the target compound (400 mg, 68%).
