4-Chloro-2-methyl-N-(3-(trifluoromethyl)benzyl)-1,8-naphthyridine-3-carboxamide (60.0 mg, 0.16 mmol) was dissolved in anhydrous MeOH (1.0 ml). NaOMe was added and the mixture refluxed for 15 h. The mixture was allowed to cool. NH4Cl (5.0 ml (sat)) was added and the product extracted with EtOAc. The combined organic extracts were dried over MgSO4 and concentrated. Purification was done by flash chromatography (EtOAc/MeOH 98:2) giving 12.0 mg (20%) of the title compound.
