A mixture of compound 23 (2.4 g, 4.1 mmol) and 10% Pd-on-carbon (wet, 500 mg) in MeOH/EtOAc (1:1, 100 mL) was pressurized to 50 PSI H2 and shaken for 3 h using a Parr apparatus. The reaction mixture was filtered through a pad of celite and the solids were washed with EtOAc. The clarified filtrate was concentrated in vacuo to give 33 as a white solid (1.84 g, 100%). The crude product was used without further purification. Mass spectrum, m/z [454.2] (M+H)+.
