A 500 mL Parr bottle was charged with the sulfonamide 36 (190 mg, 0.29 mmol) and 10% Pd-on-carbon (wet, 50 mg) in MeOH (15 mL). The mixture was pressurized to 50 PSI H2 then shaken for 3 h. The catalyst was removed by filtration with an Acrodisc® 0.45 μm nylon membrane syringe filter and the solvent was removed in vacuo. The crude product was purified by RP-HPLC (2″ Dynamax® C18; 10-100% ACN/water containing 0.1% HOAc over 30 min; Flow: 40 mL/min) to afford 140 mg of compound 37 as a white solid following lyophilization.
