Reaction Steps
Following the procedure as described in PREPARATION 82C and making non-critical variations using 1-(diphenylmethyl)-3-hydroxy-3-(5-hydroxy-1-benzothiophen-6-yl)-1,3-dihydro-2H-indol-2-one to replace 1-(diphenylmethyl)-4-fluoro-3-hydroxy-3-(7-hydroxy-2,3-dihydro-1,4-benzodioxin-6-yl)-1,3-dihydro-2H-indol-2-one, 1-(diphenylmethyl)-3-(5-hydroxy-1-benzothiophen-6-yl)-1,3-dihydro-2H-indol-2-one was obtained (94%) as an off-white solid: MS (ES+) m/z 448.1 (M+1).
