Procedure
4N HCl/1,4-dioxane solution (1 mL) was added to 5-(2-t-Butoxycarbonylaminophenoxymethyl)-6-(4-fluoro-2-methoxyphenyl)-2,2,4-trimethyl-1,2-dihydroquinoline (Compound No. 3-79, 9.6 mg, 0.019 mmol), then the reaction mixture was stirred at room temperature for 1 hour. The reaction mixture was concentrated under reduced pressure. Ethyl acetate (10 mL) and saturated aqueous NaHCO3 solution (10 mL) were added to the residue and separated. The organic layer was dried over anhydrous magnesium sulfate. The solvent was removed under reduced pressure to give the titled compound (5.4 mg) as a yellow oil. (Yield 70%)
