4-Butylamino-6-chloro-2-methyl-5-nitropyridine-3-carboxylic acid ethyl ester is treated with ethylamine according to the procedure in Example 1 c and 4-butylamino-6-ethylamino-2methyl-5-nitropyridine-3-carboxylic acid ethyl ester is obtained, yield 86%, m.p. 53°-55° (methanol).
