Prepared from 4-methyl-2'-hydroxy-1,1'-biphenyl (Example 12, Step C) and 1-fluoro-2-nitrobenzene by the procedure described in Example 27, Step A. 1H NMR (200 MHz, CDCl3): 2.30 (s,3H), 6.74 (dd;2,8 Hz;1H), 6.9-7.5 (m,10H), 7.84 (dd;2, 8 Hz;1H).
