N-[1-(2-Chloro-6-methylphenyl)carbonyl]-4-[[2-(3-hydroxphenyl))-1-oxoethyl]amino]-3-methyl-L-phenylalanine was prepared using the general procedure described in example 120 from 4-amino-3-methyl-N-[[(2-chloro-6-methylphenyl)carbonyl]-L-phenylalanine methyl ester (79.5 mg) and 2-(3-hydroxyphenyl)acetic acid (30 mg 0.2 mmol) to give 23 mg of a colorless glass.
