Procedure
A solution of 4 g. of 3-(4-chlorophenyl)-5-methyl-2-(3-pyridyl)-4-thiazolidinone (Example 1, supra) in ethyl ether was prepared, filtered and saturated with anhydrous hydrogen chloride. The solid material which precipitated was filtered off and identified by NMR spectrum as 3-(4-chlorophenyl)-5-methyl-2-(3-pyridyl)-4-thiazolidinone hydrochloride. The melting point of the product was about 135° C.
