Reaction Steps
4-[N-carbobenzyloxyglycyldehydropohenylalanyl]-3-(2-methylpropyl)piperazinone (XXXVI, Example 69, 0.5 g.) is added to a solution of hydrogen bromide (32%) in acetic acid (5 ml.). After 1 hour the diluents are evaporated to give the title compound as the hydrobromide salt.
