Reaction Steps
A mixture of the silyl chloride prepared in (a) above (78 g, 0.25M), ammonium thiocyanate(26 g,0.28M) and toluene was refluxed for 48 hours. The mixture was filtered and the filtrate evaporated; recrystallisation of the residue from acetonitrile gave the title compound (40 g, 48%) m.p. 83°-4°. (Found: C, 64.8; H, 9.0; N, 4.05. C18H29
