The product from Step 2 (1.26 g, 3.3 mmol) in ethanol (20 mL) was hydrogenated for 3 hours in the presence of 10% palladium on carbon under H2 (50 psi). After filtration of the catalyst through Kieselguhr, the filtrate was concentrated in vacuo to afford the title compound (0.81 g, 70%). MS (ES+) m/e 345 [M+H]+.
