To N-(2-{5-tert-butyl-3-[(6-chloro-pyridine-3-carbonyl)-methanesulfonyl-amino]-2-methoxy-phenylcarbamoyl}-benzo[b]thiophen-7-yl)-6-chloro-nicotinamide (see Example 1) (33 mg) in a sealed tube was added (S)-(+)-1-methoxy-2-propylamine (150 μL). The reaction was purged with Ar and then heated to 100° C. in the sealed tube 12 h. The reaction mixture was cooled to room temperature and diluted with EtOAc, washed with NH4Cl solution, water, and brine. The organics were dried over MgSO4, filtered and concentrated down to give the crude product which was purified by flash chromatography on silica gel (CH2Cl2-2% MeOH/CH2Cl2) to give the title compound (16 mg, 53%) as a yellow foam.
