5-{1-[4-Trifluoromethyl-6-(4-trifluoromethyl-phenyl)-pyrimidin-2-yl]-1H-imidazol-4-yl}-thiophene-2-sulfonic acid tert-butyl amide was prepared from 2-(4-iodo-imidazol-1-yl)-4-trifluoromethyl-6-(4-trifluoromethyl-phenyl)-pyrimidine (example E.68) (0.73 g, 1.5 mmol) and N-tert-butyl-5-(4,4,5,5-tetramethyl-1,3,2-dioxaborolan-2-yl)-thiophene-2-sulfonamide (example F.1) (0.62 g, 1.8 mmol) according to the general procedure VI. Obtained as a light brown solid (0.43 g), which was subsequently deprotected.
