N-tert-Butyl-5-{1-[6-(4-chloro-phenyl)-4-methyl-pyrimidin-2-yl]-1H-imidazol-4-yl}-thiophene-2-sulfonamide was prepared from 4-(4-chloro-phenyl)-2-(4-iodo-imidazol-1-yl)-6-methyl-pyrimidine (example E.69) (0.40 g, 1.0 mmol) and N-tert-butyl-5-(4,4,5,5-tetramethyl-1,3,2-dioxaborolan-2-yl)-thiophene-2-sulfonamide (example F.1) (0.41 g, 1.2 mmol) according to the general procedure VI. Obtained as a light brown solid (0.15 g) which was subsequently deprotected.
