To a solution of the intermediate from step C (1.3 g, 3 mmol) in dichloromethane (10 mL) was added TFA (10 mL). After stirring the reaction at room temperature for 18 hours, it was concentrated in vacuo, azeotroped with toluene (3×) and used in the next step without any further purification. 1H NMR (CD3OD, 500 MHz): 7.97 (d, J=8.2 Hz, 2H), 7.63 (dd, J=6.9, 9.0 Hz, 2H), 7.33 (s, 1H), 7.31 (d, J=8.3 Hz, 2H), 5.58 (s, 2H), 3.88 (s, 3H). LC-MS: 3.68 min; (M+H)=391.1.
