Procedure
6-[4-(3-Bromo-2-methyl-benzyl)-piperazin-1-yl]-3H -pyrimidin-4-one was prepared using Procedure B from 6-piperazin-1-yl-3H-pyrimidin-4-one (Intermediate 4) and 3-bromo-2-methylbenzaldehyde (which may be prepared as described in N. Subasinghe et al. WO 2003099805). 1H NMR (400 MHz, CDCl3) δ 2.45-2.50 (m, 7H), 3.48-3.54 (m, 6H), 5.36 (s, 1H), 6.97-7.01 (m, 1H), 7.16-7.21 (m, 1H), 7.47-7.49 (m, 1H), 7.82 (s, 1H), 11.95 (br s, 1H). Mass spectrum (ES) MH+=363.
