Procedure

Add NH4COOH (0.23 g, 3.5 mmol) to rac-cyclopropyl-[(trans)-2,5-dimethyl-4-(3-methyl-5-nitro-pyridin-2-yl)-piperazin-1-yl]-methanone (0.114 g, 0.35 mmol) and Pd/C 10% (0.043 g) in EtOH (5 mL) under N2 atmosphere and heat at 80° C. After 2 hours let reaction mixture cool down and filter through Celite®. Concentrate under reduced pressure to give 0.1 g the title compound (quantitative). MS(ES): m/z=289.3[M+H].
