8 g (0.027 mole) of N-tert.-butoxycarbonyl-6-methylamino-6-desoxy-L-sorbose were deblocked hydrolytically in a manner analogous to that in Example 9. 5 g of the syrupy hydrochloride, which was immediately further processed because of its readiness to decompose, were obtained.
