To a solution of 1-piperidin-4-yl-dihydropyrimidin-2,4(1H,3H)-dione (105 mg) obtained in Example 4 5e), HOBt (83 mg) and (2S)-3-[(6-chloro-2-naphthyl)sulfonyl]-2-hydroxypropionic acid (170 mg) in DMF (10 mL) was added WSC (105 mg) at room temperature. The mixture was stirred at room temperature for 3 days, and DMF was distilled off under reduced pressure. The residue was diluted with chloroform, washed with an aqueous saturated sodium bicarbonate solution and saturated saline solution, dried over anhydrous sodium sulfate, and concentrated under reduced pressure. The residue was purified by basic silica gel column chromatography (ethyl acetate to ethyl acetate/methanol=10/1), and recrystallized from ethanol to obtain the title compound (24 mg, 9%) as a white powder.
