To a solution of 8-(tert-butyldimethylsilyloxy)-2-((2-(4-(2-methoxyethoxy)pyridin-2-yl)hydrazono)methyl) quinoline (0.101 g, 0.223 mmol) in DCM (1.0 mL) was added iodosobenzene diacetate (0.0719 g, 0.223 mmol). After stirring at ambient temperature for 5 hours the reaction mixture was partitioned between DCM and aqueous saturated Na2S2O3. The organic layer was washed with brine, dried over Na2SO4, filtered and concentrated under reduced pressure. The residue was purified by flash column chromatography (40:1 DCM/MeOH) to provide 70 mg (70%) of desired product.
