Procedure

77.4 mg of leuprolide acetate (MW 1209.4, 84.2%) was dissolved in 1 mL of Dl water (0.0539 mmol). 31.38 mg of oleic acid (#A0241935, MW 282.46, 97%) was added to obtain a 1:2 molar ratio of LA:OL. A white precipitate formed upon mixing the solution. The complex was separated by centrifugation, and the resulting precipitate was washed with water and then dried under vacuum.
