Reaction Steps

To a solution of 4-(2-tert-butyl-4-fluorophenoxy)-1-(1H-1,2,4-triazol-3-ylcarbonyl)piperidine (200 mg, 0.58 mmol) obtained in Example 274 in pyridine (3 mL) was added methanesulfonyl chloride (99 mg, 0.87 mmol), and the mixture was stirred at room temperature for 16 hr. The reaction mixture was concentrated, and the residue was partitioned between ethyl acetate-water. The ethyl acetate layer was washed with saturated brine, dried over anhydrous magnesium sulfate and filtered. The filtrate was concentrated under reduced pressure to give the title compound (245 mg, 99%) as a white solid.
