Reaction Steps

To the solution of iodide 95 (85 mg, 0.16 mmol) in methanol (1.6 mL) was added Et2NH (0.03 mL, 0.31 mmol) and Raney nickel (20 mg). The reaction mixture was stirred 1 d under H2 (1 atm), filtered on Celite and evaporated under reduced pressure. The residue was purified by prep HPLC (C18) to afford title compound 96 (21 mg, 31%) as a solid.
