A solution of (R)-tert-butyl 1-(5-carbamoyl-6-(4-(diethylamino)phenylamino) pyridin-2-yl)piperidin-3-ylcarbamate (1.41 g, 2.92 mmol) in CH2Cl2 (2 mL) was treated with TFA (4 ml) and stirred at rt for 4 h. The reaction mixture was concentrated and the residue dissolved in CH2Cl2 and washed with 1N NaOH and concentrated to give 1.07 g of (R)-6-(3-aminopiperidin-1-yl)-2-(4-(diethylamino)phenylamino)nicotinamide as a yellow solid. LCMS: (M+H)+=383.25.
