Reaction Steps

A mixture of methyl 3,3-dimethyl-2-(3-(N-phenylsulfamoyl)phenyl)-3,4-dihydroquinoline-6-carboxylate (170 mg, 0.38 mmol) and 10% Pd/C (150 mg) in methanol (4 mL) and tetrahydrofuran (5 mL) was hydrogenated by a H2 balloon at 30° C. After filtration, the filtrated was concentrated and purified on preparative thin layer chromatography to afford 130 mg of 3,3-Dimethyl-2-(3-phenylsulfamoyl-phenyl)-1,2,3,4-tetrahydro-quinoline-6-carboxylic acid methyl ester.
