When the product of Step D is substituted for ethyl 3-(3-(4-octylphenyl)ureido)propanoate in Example 11, Step B, the identical process afforded the title compound in 78% yield, as a colourless solid. 1H-NMR (CDCl3) 7.15 (m, 4H); 6.91 (t, 1H, J=5.7 Hz); 4.66 (s, 2H); 4.02 (d, 2H, J=5.7 Hz); 3.56 (bs, 3H); 2.57 (t, 2H, J=7.9 Hz); 1.58 (m, 2H); 1.26 (m, 10H); 0.86 (t, 3H, J=7 Hz).
