A solution of 9-tosylamino-6-hydroxypyrido[3′,2′:4,5]pyrrolo[1,2-c]pyrimidine (170 mg, 0.48 mmol) and TEA (133 μl, 0.96 mmol) was dissolved in CH2Cl2 (25 ml), methanesulfonylchloride (37 μl, 0.48 mmol) was dropwise added and the mixture was stirred for 20 min. The solution was washed with water and the organic solutions was dried and evaporated. The crude mixture was purified by flash column chromatography. Elution with CH2Cl2/MeOH (98/2) gave 23a (124 mg, 78%) as a yellow solid.
