Reaction Steps
8.66 g of 2-(1-chloropropyl)-3H-imidazo[4,5-b]pyridine (compound B2) are suspended in 18 ml of N,N-dimethylformamide and 61 ml of acetonitrile. 6.3 ml of triphenylphosphine are added at 40° C. and the mixture is heated to 90° C. for 16 h. The mixture is concentrated to dryness to give 11.9 g of the title compound as an oil. MS: 362.2 (M+).
