Reaction Steps
A mixture of N-(4-methoxybenzyl)piperazine dihydrochloride (0.35 g, 1.3 mmol), 2-chloro-1-(5-chloro-6-methoxynaphthalen-2-yl)propan-1-one (0.44 g, 1.57 mmol) and K2CO3 (0.65 g, 4.6 mmol) in 20 ml of DMF was treated according to general preparation 2 to give 0.4 g of compound (IV-31), yield 57%, mp 222-224° C. M+ 452.
