The title compound was prepared from ethyl 5-amino-1-(1,1′-biphenyl-4-ylmethyl)-3-phenyl-1H-indole-2-carboxylate and 4-tert-butylbenzeneboronic acid according to the procedure of Example 1 Step 3 as a pale green solid: 1H NMR (CDCl3) δ 1.28 (s, 9 H), 5.85 (s, 2 H), 6.86 (d, J=8.6 Hz, 2 H), 7.15-7.55 (m, 19 H); MS (ESI) m/z 551 (MH+); HRMS calcd. for C38H34N2O2 551.2699; found (ESI+): 551.2681; Anal. calcd. for C38H34N2O2.0.5H2O: C, 81.55; H, 6.30; N, 5.01. Found: C, 81.91; H, 6.39; N, 4.65.
